Montréal, December 18, 2025 – Cartier et Lelarge is pleased to announce that it will acquire the majority of the client base of Stevenson effective December 28, 2025. As part of the acquisition, four key Stevenson employees will join the Cartier et Lelarge team. With the handover process already underway, Cartier et Lelarge is working closely with Caroline Morrissette, president of Stevenson, to ensure a smooth and efficient transition.
An opportunity for value-added diversification
“Stevenson was looking for someone to take its business over, and its client base complemented ours very well,” says Antoine Raimbert, president of Cartier et Lelarge. “This acquisition will allow us to further diversify into different industries and geographies while maintaining our responsible growth strategy.”
“Our relationship with Caroline has been built on trust from the beginning,” says Simon Hébert, senior vice president of Cartier et Lelarge. “The commitment on both sides has been incredible. For our future clients and new colleagues, as well as our own team, it was really important that we work hand in hand with Stevenson for several weeks or even months. Without that level of commitment, we wouldn’t have moved forward.”
Stevenson to continue serving individual clients
Going forward, Caroline has chosen to focus on translating official documents for individuals and other types of content for a few new clients. “Stevenson has been a real adventure for me,” she says. “I was at a crossroads and wanted to simplify my life to take care of myself. I’m so happy that Antoine and Simon agreed to take this opportunity. I wanted my employees to keep translating in a people-focused environment and couldn’t have asked for better. My clients will benefit from the services of an impeccable provider, and my employees will be able to keep growing as translators alongside qualified professionals. It’s truly a win-win all around!”
